Experiments with using raw clay as a time-based element in my paintings. As the clay dries and breaks off, it gets grounded into fine particles, then transferred into a bucket of water to rehydrate and then emptied of excess water and turned back into malleable clay that's reapplied back onto the painting. This wooden panel is cut into the shape of a vase.
